A partnership of Kenyan and UK Christians
KCA is a UK-based fellowship of Kenyans and UK friends of Kenya of all denominations, committed to support and encourage Christian work and development in Kenya.
The KCA was formed in 1920 in order to keep in touch people who have a special interest in Kenya, and particularly the work of the Church there. In the past many members have themselves lived and worked in Kenya as missionaries. Today there are many Kenyans who live in Britain, and many are Christians. So most of the KCA’s potential members are Kenyans who are resident in Britain. KCA is building a fellowship that includes former long or short term missionaries and Christian expatriates to Kenya, Kenyan Christians living or working in the UK and current missionaries in Kenya.
What does it do?
The KCA encourages all who agree with its aims to become members of the Association. Members keep in touch on the basis of their shared interest and concerns.
- The KCA aims to inform members of developments in Kenya for their prayers and understanding. This is done mainly through a bi-annual Bulletin and at the Annual reunion/AGM.
- The KCA arranges regular gatherings of members, so that they may meet each other, welcome visitors from Kenya, and help to raise funds to support Christian ministry in Kenya.
Whom does it help?
The prayers of KCA members strengthen much Christian work in Kenya. Members find it a valuable fellowship that provides insight into current issues and support in difficulties. A modest grants programme funded from subscriptions helps key projects.
Will you join?
Membership is open to all who wish to commit themselves to the aims and vision described above. Members receive copies of the regular News Bulletins, and are entitled to attend the Annual General Meeting and any other events arranged by the Association. The Annual Subscription is £20 (£10 for pensioners and £5 students).
